Ben Cohen, Stephan Van Meuhlen and Dylan Gauthier made a gorgeous boat together at last year’s Maker Faire.

This weekend they will be traveling with their boat in Boston’s Charles River.  Then it’ll be displayed in a show at Boston Center for the Arts:  ‘About, With & For’, curated by Juliana Dreiver.

Check out the show at BCA here.

Plus check out their BOAT BLOG! www.thefreeseas.org

Ben Cohen also makes other cool stuff besides boats. His bike-light company, Blink/Steady, is working on a new prototype for a coffee making robot that makes 5 ‘pour over’ style coffees simultaneously, and perfectly.     WOW!

They’ve already been written up in MAKE zine and will be presenting their coffee creation at next month’s Maker Faire New York.  It is going to be awesome so you should check it out!

Kypseli is an independent, budget, art publication initiated by an extended family of creators who live in or care for the neighborhood of Kypseli in Athens, Greece.

The second issue (published in Athens in May 2013) hosts Kypseli’s resident artists and a couple of friends from the US and Brazil who look (in their idiosyncratic ways) into alternative artistic strategies within a given community.

It soon will be available at Printed Matter’s Book Fair PS1. Here is the FB page for Kypseli.

As an artist of the publication, Kypseli, Illia is participating in Re-Map 4 in Athens, Greece.
And locally, Illia is participating in a group show at Brooklyn Arts Council.

For & About: Art and Reactions to Superstorm Sandy is opening Friday, September 27th, and running until February the 14th.  Come check it out!
